At the end of the day, success isn’t just about technological milestones; it’s about the lives we touch and the dreams we help fuel. In 2025, our community came together to contribute a total of 46,810 BGN (€24,005) toward initiatives that drive education, inclusion, and human potential. This year was defined by a simple truth: when our people take the lead, the company stands firmly behind them.

The Corporate Angel: A Future for Galin

We are proud to be part of the Teddy Bear Operation’s “Corporate Angel” initiative. This program allows us to support a child who needs specific funding to continue their education and growth. This year, we chose Galin, a talented young boy with a tough life story but a resilient dream to become a professional artist. To support his path, we organized a Charity Lunch in December 2024, gathering enough funds to support a full year of his studies. By standing as his “Corporate Angel,” we are helping ensure that his talent with the brush isn’t lost to circumstance.

The Heart of the Mat: Emil Neshev’s Sambo Club

Emil Neshev’s Sports Sambo Club for children with special educational needs is a cause that has become deeply personal for our team. Through a charity bazaar, our employees raised 1,065 BGN, which the company then topped up to reach a total of 1,500 BGN. This donation was aimed to fund a summer sports camp, giving these children a chance to grow, socialize, and play in a supportive environment. When Desislava Petrova and Sanya Hozjan visited the club to hand over the donation, the emotion in the room said more than any report ever could. Emil and his small team achieve miracles with very little, and we are honored to help them keep going.

Fueling the Innovators: AUBG Hub & American College

We are committed to nurturing the next generation of tech leaders. We supported the AUBG Hub Annual Hackathon, where over 150 ambitious participants competed in entrepreneurship and innovation. Beyond funding, our CTO, Orlin Kozarev, served as a mentor, sharing his expertise to help these young minds succeed. Similarly, at the American College Sofia Technical Fair Fission, we provided financing and prizes for students showcasing science projects, celebrating the curiosity and grit that drive progress.

40,000 Kilometers for Inclusion: Foundation “Ela I Ti”

Our Active Summer Challenge proved that we can move mountains when we move together. We set an initial goal to run, bike, and hike a total of 35,000 km—but our team’s energy took us to nearly 40,000 km. For every kilometer reached, the company donated 0.10 BGN, resulting in a 4,000 BGN contribution to Foundation “Ela I Ti.” This foundation helps people with disabilities experience things that were once out of reach—like mountain climbing or going to the cinema—ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table and a view from the peak.

“To the Top Together”: Sports Club Visoti

Inclusion is about doing things side-by-side. We funded the organization of the “Към върха заедно” (To the Top Together) competition hosted by Sports Club Visoti. This unique event brought together children with special needs and their peers to compete in climbing. It was a powerful display of community spirit, proving that when we support one another, we all reach the summit together.

Nurturing Bright Minds: Sofia Talks & Teenovator

Mentorship is at the core of our culture. At the Sofia Talks event, we supported young entrepreneurs, with our HR Director Milena Ilieva and Training Manager Desislava Petrova hosting a masterclass on AI in Recruitment. Furthermore, for the fourth year in a row, we continued our support for the Teenovator program, helping high school students bridge the gap between a creative idea and a real-world business project.

A Long-Term Commitment: Cedar Foundation

True change requires a long-term promise. We are proud to continue our annual support for the Cedar Foundation, an organization that provides quality care and family-type housing for disadvantaged children and adults. By standing with Cedar, we help ensure that some of the most vulnerable members of our community receive the dignity, care, and stability they deserve.

The Verdict of 2025

Our CSR report isn’t just about the 46,810 BGN—it’s about the faces behind those numbers. It’s about Galin’s paintings, the children at the Sambo summer camp, and the 40,000 kilometers of effort put in by our team.

To everyone who baked a treat, ran a kilometer, or mentored a student: Thank you. You are the reason Updata One is more than just a company—it’s a community with a heart.
